Pandora's Box

Pandora's Box is an Epic ON_ACQUIRE relic that immediately transforms all Common cards in your deck into random Rare cards of the same element when picked up. This is a dramatic, one-time effect that can either supercharge or destabilize your run. The upside is enormous: Rare cards are significantly stronger than Commons, and the element matching means your synergies stay intact.

However, the randomness means you might get Rare cards that do not fit your strategy or have anti-synergies with your existing build. The relic is best picked up early before you have refined your deck, since you can adapt your strategy around whatever Rares you receive. It combos well with Lucky Coin and Scroll of Insight for subsequent rewards to round out gaps.

Late in a run, when you have already removed weak Commons via Mask of Forgotten, fewer cards transform, reducing its impact. Be cautious in highly tuned combo decks, where random Rares might break your carefully constructed card interactions. Priority: always pick early in a run; situational late when your Commons are already curated.
