Broken Hourglass

Cracked Hourglass is one of the most powerful Rare relics in the game. Tutoring two specific cards from your draw pile at combat start gives you unparalleled consistency, letting you always open with your best combo pieces. This eliminates the randomness of bad opening hands entirely.

It excels in combo decks that need specific card pairs to function, such as a key Power card plus a scaling attack. Pair it with Burning Candle for a devastating turn one: tutor your strongest attacks and hit the Vulnerable enemy immediately. In exhaust-focused decks, you can tutor cards that trigger Exile Feather chains right away.

The relic is weaker in decks with no clear priority cards or in very small decks where you already draw most of your cards. It also loses some value with Eternal Grip, since retaining your hand eventually gives you access to everything anyway. Priority: always pick; guaranteed consistency is arguably the strongest effect a relic can provide.
