Iron Rosary is a simple but reliable Common relic that provides 8 free Block at the start of every fight. This shield protects you during the vulnerable first turn when you are still drawing into your setup cards. It is universally useful across all deck types, since every build benefits from not taking damage on turn one.
The block pairs well with Frost Heart, which carries over 50% of the unused portion into turn two, effectively extending the benefit. In combination with Burning Candle, you enter every fight with both block protection and an offensive advantage, creating a strong opening regardless of your draw. The relic does lose relative value in the late game when enemies deal much more than 8 damage per turn, making the initial shield less impactful.
It also provides diminishing returns in decks already stacking heavy block generation. Priority: always pick early in a run when the 8 block represents a significant portion of enemy damage; decent filler at any point since it has zero downside.
