Lucky Coin is a Common relic that increases the rarity of card rewards by 15%, meaning you see more Rare and Epic cards throughout your run. This is a snowball relic: the earlier you pick it up, the more card rewards it affects, and the stronger your overall deck becomes. Unlike combat relics, its value is entirely about long-term deck quality rather than immediate power.
It pairs well with Scroll of Insight, which shows two extra cards per reward, giving the increased rarity roll more chances to appear. Together, these two relics make every card reward screen significantly better. The relic has no downside and no combat impact whatsoever, so picking it up never hurts your fighting ability.
However, in short runs or near the end of a run where few card rewards remain, its value drops significantly. It also does nothing to help you in the fights you need to win right now. Priority: always pick early in a run for maximum value; skip late in a run when few rewards remain.
