Strategy & Tips

The Abyssal Fiend follows a fixed pattern: Poison, multi-hit, Poison, single hit, then Block. Turns 1 and 3 apply 5 Poison each, so bring Poison removal or healing cards if available. The double 14-damage strike on turn 2 is the most dangerous early attack — prioritize blocking there.

On turn 4, expect a solid 26-damage hit. Turn 5 is a safe window to deal damage while the Fiend blocks. Chill works well here since both attack actions deal meaningful single-instance damage.

Applying Weakness via Shadow element cards reduces all incoming damage significantly. Kill it quickly before Poison stacks accumulate. The Iron Rosary relic helps absorb the first Poison turn while you set up.

Freeze effects can skip a Poison application entirely, buying you breathing room.
