Soul Drain is a Cursed Shadow Rare dealing 6 damage, applying 3 Poison, and healing 3 for 1 cost, but applying 1 Weakness to yourself. The self-Weakness reduces your outgoing damage by x0.75, which hurts in aggressive builds. Blood Vow relic negates the first curse penalty each combat.
Higher levels reduce the penalty by 15% each. The combined damage, Poison, and healing for 1 cost is excellent value. Shadow synergy triggers additional Weakness on the enemy from 2+ Shadow cards, partially counteracting your own debuff.
Cursed Cauldron boosts the damage by x1.5. Pair with healing from Aurora Priestess or Divine Grace to maximize sustain. The 3 Poison contributes to damage-over-time strategies.
Best in hybrid Shadow builds that can afford the temporary Weakness penalty or negate it with Blood Vow.
