Dark Trade is a zero-cost Shadow Common that discards 1 card to draw 2 and apply 1 Poison. The free cycling effect is incredibly valuable for deck consistency. Discard unwanted cards or status cards like Wound and Daze to dig for key pieces.
Level 3 adds +1 Poison, and level 5 draws an additional card, making it even more efficient. Shadow synergy triggers from playing multiple Shadow cards. Pairs well with Shadow Cloak for extra Poison per card played, and with Void Resonance for extra draws on each play.
The zero cost means it fits into any turn without energy constraints. The Poison application contributes to damage-over-time strategies. Crystal of Duality has no effect since this card neither attacks nor blocks.
