Parasite is a status card that enemies add to your deck. It is unplayable and permanent, meaning it never exhausts and stays in your deck for the entire combat, clogging your draw every cycle. This makes Parasite one of the most punishing status cards alongside Ascender's Bane.
Your primary mitigation is to increase draw power with Void Dancer, Foresight, Void Insight, and Void Resonance to cycle past it. Building a larger deck reduces the frequency of drawing Parasite. Unlike Daze and Burn, Parasite does not self-exhaust, so Feel No Pain and Dark Harvest do not help.
Cards with Innate keyword ensure your opening hand remains strong. Focus on draw and energy generation to compensate for the lost hand slot. If you expect Parasite sources in your run, prioritize Void draw tools to maintain hand quality.
